We might not have agreed with all that came our way.
But this man here, conquered in every way.
The cliché "he brought us from third to first world"
and "he is our founding father".
Acknowledged, wholeheartedly.
Without this man here, Singapore wouldn't be what she is today.
Acknowledged.
Without this man who dedicated his whole life to Singapore,
we wouldn't be here today, with much to boast about.
Acknowledged.
While there are many things that we hated him for,
there are a lot more that we should be thankful for.
He was there at our lowest,
he made undesirable decision,
people hated his guts because he was outright frank.
But he created a nation that everyone is dying to flock to,
he made a nation that would willing mourn for his loss.
I'm not patriotic in any way or form.
I didn't take much fancy with all that happened,
but my opinions don't matter
and as a matter of fact,
this man does deserve the respect and recognition that he has gotten.
50 years ago, he cried for Singapore.
This week, the nation mourn the lost of their founding father.
Today, we bid our final farewell to the one that has brought Singapore this far.
"For you are dust, and to dust you shall return." - Genesis 3:19
Thank you for building this nation, strong and free.
Your legacy will never be forgotten, Sir.
Eternal rest, grant unto him oh Lord,
and let perpetual light, shine upon him.

Scarred listen, ♥Sick all of the internal battles. Thank you for the scars And for letting me know how much I really mean to you. This marks the end of me trying to fix things.
